Joanne Gaines, Business and Community Leader

With every entity, whether it be a business, a not for profit organization, or a country for that matter, requires a vision of a Founder or an Organizer. Organizations keep their organizers content as they are the fabric of the organization. After the United States of America was founded, the country held them in high esteem and in fact most of them had the opportunity in becoming President of Our Nation.   Marc Gagnon moved to Florida in 1997 after he was severed by Fleet National Bank after 14 1/2 years of employment. Fleet consumed banks like Bank of New England, Shawmut, Bank of Boston, and Natwest. Gagnon was part of 16,000 people that were laid off.  Gagnon met Joanne Gaines at First Western Bank in 1998. He worked for her for almost 2 years and then went to Floridian Community Bank in 2004. Joanne Gaines organized the bank including the raising of capital as well as assembling the employees as well as the bank site. The bank's first organization meeting was on 9/11/01, the day the Terrorists attacked NYC and Washington DC. Gaines assembled a bank that is pretty much on the top of its game in the area which ranks #2 for bank closures in the country. As a former government employee that oversaw institutions, this is indeed impressive. This section of the site is dedicated to her work at Floridian Community Bank which commits to deliver strong personal service while others concentrate in only transactions.
