Since 1913, great strides have been made in cancer research.  Almost a century ago, the five year survival rate for cancer patients was only 11%; today the cancer survival rate is 62%.

The American Cancer Society donates more money to cancer research than any other private, not for profit, non-governmental funder of cancer research in the United States.   The American Cancer Society has funded 44 Nobel Prize Winners and hopes to fund the 45th.

The American Cancer Society  helps fund programs like Reaching out to Cancer Kids (R.O.C.K.) which provides camp, family weekends, and college scholarships to children with cancer.

Joanne Gaines is proud of  The American Cancer Society   and all the work it has done to improve cancer research.
